The main focus of IBC is to bring sound biblical teaching to national pastors through Bible conferences in their native countries. Many church planters and evangelists in the third world are first-generation believers, and they are converts from Hinduism, Islam, and other forms of paganism. These converts have a zeal for spreading the good news of salvation, but they possess a limited understanding of the Word.
Strengthening and encouraging pastors in the Word directly impacts the church at the local level as indigenous pastors know the language and culture. This makes for very effective evangelism and church planting - especially in countries closed to Western missionaries.
IBC existence is two-fold: 1) to send American teachers to conduct international Bible conferences; 2) to represent international pastors here in the U.S. by collecting partners to support these men through prayer and financial assistance.
